2020 Success Stories Against COVID-19

The outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic was first identified in Wuhan, China in late 2019. In response, Taipei Veterans General Hospital (TVGH, 臺北榮民總醫院) has launched various precautionary measures since January 6, 2020, including convening regular anti-epidemic meetings, setting up negative-pressure isolation wards exclusively for COVID-19 patients, rationing the use of protective materials, promoting related government policies, installing fever screening stations outdoors, checking travel histories for all visitors, imposing visitor restrictions, measuring body temperatures for the whole staff, and demanding all visitors to wear face masks. Meanwhile, TVGH has tried its best and successfully cured suspected or confirmed patients with COVID-19. All these efforts aim to safeguard citizens’ health, thereby bringing hope to those still fighting against COVID-19.
