In August and September 2016, doctors of Taipei Veterans General Hospital (TVGH, 臺北榮民總醫院) joined a program with medical students of National Yangming University (國立陽明大學) to provide medical services to the residents of Ladakh, India. The year 2008 saw the first TVGH medical team in Ladakh, a remote and isolated area in northern India. Since then, TVGH has worked in partnership with National Yangming University to conduct medical outreaches every year to serve those in need there.
