Endoscopy Center for Diagnosis and Treatment

The Endoscopy Center for Diagnosis and Treatment (內視鏡診斷暨治療中心) was established in January 2012 to improve the quality of endoscopic treatment, enhance infection control, and keep patients safe. With full support from superintendent Lin Fang-yu (林芳郁) and vice superintendent Li Shou-tung (李壽東), TVGH brought together gastroscopy, colonoscopy, esophagoscopy, and bronchoscopy, and introduced the latest cantilever system to establish the country's most comprehensive endoscopy diagnosis and treatment center. With the most advanced facilities, the best designed space, and the highest standard for infection control, we aim to offer the public with the safest and most comfortable medical care environs. We also exchange ideas as often with the world's other endoscopy centers as possible, in order to make the Center an outstanding one in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Center's features are as follows:

  1. The most advanced cantilever facilities: Taking reference from our counterparts in Japan, we introduced the largest and most systemized cantilever facilities which keep computer screens and endoscopy machines in mid-air. This helps to keep the floor clean and allows larger movements of the cantilevers, even the screens. The angles of the facilities may of course be adjusted depending on the user's needs. This can significantly improve diagnosis precision and convenience at work. '
  2. Graceful, comfy environs: Patients tend to feel nervous and uncomfortable when waiting for examination results in a noisy, chaotic space with their families. Hence, we especially offer two different spaces for patients and their families. This not only reduces infection rate. In our comfy waiting area, patients receive medication and injection, and watch medical advocacy films to ease their anxious minds. After the examinations are completed, they may go to a special area to take a good rest.
  3. The strictest infection control: We have designed routes to separate hospitalized patients, ER examinees, and general clinic patients from one another. We even keep medical staff from patients are here for health examinations, so as to reduce unnecessary infection. All facilities and tools are sanitized in special rooms and all specimens are kept in a single space with computerized management. With the strictest infection control, we want to make sure patients are safe.
  4. Keeping all facilities in one place in order to reduce waste of medical resources: Previously, our endoscopy facilities scattered in all corners of the hospital. This resulted in multiple purchases of the same facilities and waste of space. With the establishment of the Center, we can now utilize the facilities in one place, making the best use of our budget to get the most advanced facilities when necessary. This will greatly improve efficacy.
