A strong earthquake hit Nepal in April 2015, with a magnitude of 7.8Mw. Director Wu Tsi-tsung (吳子聰) of the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Chen Wei-hsiung (陳維熊), superintendent of the School of Medicine, National Yang-Ming University organized teams to hold free clinics and open sessions on hygiene, health, and nutrition for earthquake victims, in accordance with instructions from the International Cooperation and Development Fund. Director Chang Yun-ting (張雲亭) of the Dept. of Dermatology, Dr. Huang Chen-yu (黃貞瑜) of the Dept. of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Lai Chun-cheng (賴俊誠) of the Emergency Room, and Dr. Lin Chi-wei (林芷藯) of the Dept. of Pediatrics all devoted to the aid work with other volunteers. Over 700 locals received free medical consultation. TVGH received a thank-you certificate afterwards.
