Led by vice superintendent Li Chien-hsien (李建賢, also the principal of the School of Medicine, National Yang-Ming University), a TVGH team provided volunteer medical services in Papua New Guinea with the “mobile medical group” of the International Cooperation and Development Fund. The team contributed so much that it received a medal for "mobile medical care that spreads the spirit of Taiwan while lightening up the world" by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Welfare, and the Fund.
