In June 2018, TVGH and the University of New South Wales in Australia signed an MOU, as represented by superintendent Chang Te-ming (張德明) and prof. Boaz Shulruf of the university. This is the first institution that VGH signed an MOU with according to the New Southbound Policy. Afterwards, the university delegation visited TVGH's VR classrooms, interdisciplinary holistic medical care simulation center, digital library, and teaching & outpatient clinics, in addition to a VR center of the National Yang-Ming University (國立陽明大學).
