TVGH Superintendent Tsou Chi-hsun (鄒濟勳) and New Jeddah Clinic Hospital signed a 10-year MOU on medical cooperation in October 1978. Soon afterwards, TVGH sent medical professionals there to set up outpatient clinics of internal medicine and dentistry, ICU, orthopedics and maternity wards, and baby's room. In a decade's time, more than 50 doctors and 200 nurses were dispatched to offer assistance. The two hospitals continued to work together as sister hospitals after the MOU came to an end.
